Air Pollutant Emissions from Coal-fired Power Plants. 2.

چکیده
In order to investigate the factual air pollutant emissions from Henan’s power sector in 2010, SO2, NOx and PM emissions from 24 generating sets from 15 coal-fired power plants have been measured. It is shown that SO2 emission values from 22 of 24 generating sets conform to the requirements, which is causing by the high performance of the flue gas desulfurization system. Much higher NOx emissions indicate that the construction of flue gas denitrition systems is necessary. PM emissions varied from 2.3 kg to 299.9 kg per hour. Total sulfur, moisture, ash and volatile content, and net caloric value of coals were investigated to elucidate the relationship between coals and air pollutant emissions.

Analysis of Co-Effects on Air Pollutants and CO2 Emissions Generated by End-of-Pipe Measures of Pollution Control in China’s Coal-Fired Power Plants
China is now facing great challenges resulting from climate change and air pollution, driven by the processes of industrialization and urbanization. Greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions produced by the coal-fired power industry represent approximately 70% of the total emissions in China’s industrial sector. In this study, 39 coal-fired power plants built in China between 2014 and 2015 wer...

متن کاملReducing the Cost of Compliance and Improving Plant Operations for Coal-Fired Boilers
Compliance with new environmental regulations for coal-fired boilers and other industrial sources has become a multi-pollutant effort in which minimizing costs is important. For example, the cost of mercury control chemicals is the largest cost associated with achieving mercury compliance under Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS). Reducing the costs associated with maintaining emissions lim...

INTRODUCTION The acid rain provisions of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) provide new incentives for the development of power generation technology with low SO 2 emissions. Detailed evaluations of possible NO x and air toxics emission limits also are required by the CAAA in the next few years. Furthermore, reauthorization of other key environmental legislation, such as the Clean Water A...
